Mohawk Capital Group, founded by Ben Romer and Stephen Pearse, specialize in multifamily investments in the Capital Region. Ben brings over $250 million in development experience with upstate New York's largest developer and Stephen manages 60+ apartment units and short term rentals across the east coast. Together, Mohawk Capital Partners offers a strategic value-add focused partnership for investors, leveraging their extensive market knowledge and proven development skills to deliver high-yielding investment opportunities.

Benjamin Romer 
 

Benjamin Romer’s entrepreneurial spirit paved the path to real estate after nearly a decade of corporate experience in NYC with such companies as NBCUniversal, Presidio Network Solutions and most recently as Chief of Staff and Head of Investor Relations at Redburn Development Partners, Upstate New York’s current largest multifamily developer. At Redburn he was involved in more than $250 Million of real estate development and fund management, engaging with investors daily. He has been a NYS Licensed Salesperson since 2018, where he began his real estate career in New York City’s Luxury Market and has become an expert in Upstate New York Investment properties. Ben is currently the Director of Commercial Real Estate for Keller Williams Capital District, one of the areas premier brokerages.

Most recently Ben closed on a 16-unit Value-Add Multifamily investment opportunity in Norfolk, VA and has several mixed-use development projects in the works in the Capital that range from ground- up Medical & Residential Development to Climate-Controlled Self-Storage and Industrial Warehouse assets.

Ben grew up in Niskayuna, where he now lives with his wife, daughter and their two dogs. He is a graduate of Union College where he majored in Economics and History as dual degree. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his growing family, hunting, fishing and golfing. He looks forward adding to the continued growth of the place he grew up.

Stephen Pearse received his bachelor’s degree in international business and Finance and master’s degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Tampa. After a successful career in B2B sales, he has immersed himself in the world of real estate. He currently owns 78 apartment units in the Capital District of NY. He plans on using his investing, sales and account management experience from his early professional life, to continue growing and operating a large multifamily portfolio. Stephen has also developed a passion for short term rentals and owns a successful Airbnb in Tampa, where he is looking to expand his short-term rental business.
